DownloadThe M1 Garand or the M1903A3 Rifles are the only ones that can penetrate the Armour of the 23This is an update on the original video, showing the shots made at distance killing the crew inside. The M1 Garand or the M1903A3 Rifles are the only ones that can penetrate the Armour of the 231, all the others (MAS 36/40 and Enfield) will not, better to use an HE Satchel to blow the wheels of. From the rear it is possible to kill the Gunner or Commander from distance. Aim for the center (not the view ports) at an angle left or Right to kill the crew inside. As we get closer you can see the penetration shots that hit the middle and those that did not that hit the view ports.1, all the others (MAS 36/40 and Enfield) will not, better to use an HE Satchel to blow the wheels off.
In this video you can see killing the Gunner when hes up and on the gun. Killing him will negate the threat but will not give you a kill. Taking the driver out will give you the kill, I believe this is because the driver controls the ability to build a Spawn point which I suppose is the main role of the Unit. The only 2 rifles that penetrate the Armour is US M1903A3 Springfield and the US/Brit M1 Garand, all else must use HE Satchels. When the gunner is hunking down you can shoot him from the rear as shown. If you have elevation from the rear you can fire down into the back of the Driver and Gunner.
With the ATR v Panzer 38t you want to aim for the turret killing the Gunner/Commander inside. If you're lucky you may get an explosion.
The Panzer IV D can be exploded from the side but it can be a pain. With the Panzer IV D and G it is best from the rear, taking out the Driver and Gunner. The Driver shot is 90° from the rear while the Gunner shot is slightly from the left into the turret housing. Like the Panzer III Series if you see Mustard coloured smoke then go for the flame or you can try for an Explode, but like the side shot can be difficult.
With the ATR v Panzer III F or StuG B getting a flame can be difficult. You know you're getting close when you have the mustard coloured smoke, and after a number of trys you still don't get a flame (3rd Panzer in the video) try aiming right of the exhaust, but only after you have the mustard coloured smoke. Be warned the Panzer III H cannot be shot with the ATR and looks similar to the III F, the difference is the large storage bin on the back of the Turret.
Panzer IV D the Left Hand Side (LHS) and Right Hand Side (RHS) are different Panzer IV G LHS / RHS are the same Panzer IV H can only be sapped from the rear as can the IV D and IV G.
One up the bum, no harm done.
